Cork Half Marathon
Sunday 12th September 2020
A touch of the blarney to go with that new PB for the half marathon! Another relatively new race to the calendar but with a flat, fast course run through Blarney, home of the famous stone, just to the west of Cork means that this is one that is one that is rapidly gaining in popularity.
The Location
|
Located on the south western coast of Ireland, Cork is the third largest city in Ireland and a hotbed of road running in the country. Cork lies on an island, formed by two channels of the River Lee, spanned by several bridges which, alongside the narrow alleys and the Georgian architecture of the old quays, giving the city a continental character.
|
Post race we will have an opportunity to visit Castle Blarney and to acquire 'the gift of the gab' by kissing the magic stone!
