Annecy Marathon and Half Marathon

This year the race will be a week later than London and is an ideal antidote! It is everything that London isn't and is probably one of the most attractive marathon courses in Europe.

Now in its 25th year, it boasts clean air, snow capped mountains, and beautiful lakeside panoramas and a flat, fast course. There is also a half marathon option run as a separate event over the first half of the course, which attracted nearly 2000 runners in 2020.

The Location

Annecy lies some 30 miles south of Geneva in the Haute Savoie region of France, on the shores of Lac d'Annecy and surrounded on all sides by the Alps. Stroll around the town along flower lined quays by pristine canals, drop in on an ancient castle, boat or sunbathe on a lake surrounded by snow capped ridges, walk through alpine meadows and woods or dine on fondues or other local delicacies - as well as run a marathon!

The Hotel

Les Terrasses Hotel is a recently refurbished** Logis de France Hotel with its own garden situated in a quiet location approximately 5 minutes walk from the old Town and about 15 minutes from the race start. All rooms are en suite with TV, telephone and internet access. The hotel has its own restaurant, but guests may prefer to choose from one of the many restaurants available nearby.

Travel

Prices are based on Easyjet services from Luton on Friday 23rd April departing at 10.50 and arriving in Geneva at 13.35 and returning on Monday 26th April at 17.00. As Easyjet operate a flexible pricing system, the prices shown are a guide and may vary up or down at the time of booking. Easyjet also operate flights to Geneva from Gatwick, East Midlands and Liverpool. Alternative prices are available on request.
